Copied

My entry for the 18th challenge of Digital painting School.

I have chosen to represent the myth of Orpheus and his quest to bring back Eurydice, the love of his life, from the Underworld.

Short version : Poor Eurydice get bitten by a snake while trying to escape from a man who assaulted her, and dies from the bite. Madly in love and in despair, Orpheus charms Hades, the Underworld god, with his lyra and gets to bring Eurydice back to life. At only one condition : he must never look back until they are both outside.

Only a few meters before the exit, and while the sun finally appears, deeply concerned as he can't hear Eurydice, Orpheus looks back only to see Eurydice disapearing forever..
